(what the hell is going on with VOX? This page took forever to finish loading and playback of music is SUCKY!….least it is for me)C'est la VOX, eh?

Did pretty well at the library and Schoolkids Records.

The scores are as follows:

They actually have the first two volumes of Y: The Last Man (mentioned in my Saturday post) on hold so that was stokey.
Picked up the Bill Bryson book on recommendation. Hope its good!
The Diving Bell and The Butterfly (also mentioned in my Saturday post)
The Time Traveler's Wife – its a bit chick lit but M—–l mentioned it…some people at work have mentioned it and it was on display (the only copy) and caught my eye so I thought it was a sign.

Y: The Last Man Vol. 1: Unmanned Y: The Last Man Vol. 2: Cycles The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid: A Memoir The Diving Bell and the Butterfly: A Memoir of Life in Death The Time Traveler's Wife

Finally got Black Lips…almost got The 1900s…but decided to wait and instead grabbed used copies of a Sharon Jones compilation(Amazon doesn't have T"he Dynamic Sound of…" so just pretend that's the right one) and an oldie but goodie Bob Mould(that I've already owned at least once…heh)

Good Bad Not Evil Dap Dippin Black Sheets of Rain

I love your acquisition posts. They always make me want to go buy stuff. You're costing me, man.
Concerning The Time Traveler's Wife, I have mentioned it, but only because so many people have mentioned it to me. Emily, whose literary opinions I respect, left me a comment on it this morning. She said the book doesn't make a lot of sense until 100 pages in. I'm going to give it a try with that in mind, but I'm with you on the chick-lit-thing. I initially avoided the book because the cover looked lame. I've heard it's not as chick-lity as it might look.

Just doing my bit for the economy. Trading in a few CDs got down on the costs as did using the library. Part of my home buying thinking is to cut out as much spending as possible…but that really just means "I still spend money on CDs if I don't get enough in trades and I'll still buy books if the library doesn't have it or there's a wait"…heh.

Is the Bryson book in paperback? He's one of my faves but I haven't gotten anything from him recently. Have you read anything by him? he's fricking hilarious. I've turned a bunch of people on to him, like LOL funny, they all agreed.

yep…the peeps that recommended it were reading the paperback. I've picked it up a few times in Borders b/c the topic appeals but never bought. They also said he was pretty funny.
